Indigenous Land Acknowledgement: Why It Is, What It Is, and What It Is Not Participants will explore the whys of Land Acknowledgements and how they can sometimes be associated with performative allyship. Through guided exercises, participants will explore their relationship to Indigenous lands and reflect on their participation in the settler state. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the history of Land Acknowledgments and how they can, if created thoughtfully, be utilized to build reciprocal relationships with Indigenous communities.
