The Jackalope Playwrights Lab is an eight-week master-class in playwriting facilitated by Jackalope Company Member Calamity West. Calamity is a Chicago-based, award-winning, Kilroys-cited playwright. City Lit seeking submissions for Art of Adaptation Festival

City Lit Theater will present THE ART OF ADAPTATION on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 31, June 1 and June 2, and is currently soliciting for pieces for the festival. Submitting playwrights may be located anywhere, but a connection to Chicago is strongly encouraged. City Lit staff will select six to eight adaptations, each of which will be awarded $200.00. The City of Chicago and the League of Chicago Theatres have designated 2019 as the Year of Chicago Theatre.
