Open House Chicago is partnering with the Year of Chicago Theatre to highlight the unique spaces throughout Chicago where live performances happen! Open House Chicago is a free annual festival organized by the Chicago Architecture Center that opens sites of architectural, historical, or cultural interest for public exploration. All of our hearts go out to the Leonard and Libera family as they mourn the loss of their daughter Eleanor Finn Leonard. Nora was an inspiration to so many for her courage and kindness. As The Second City family celebrates her life tomorrow morning at a memorial service please join us in sending them love and healing during this time. In lieu of flowers, Nora’s family requests donations be made to Lurie Children’s Hospital or Gilda’s Club Chicago. #TeamNoraForever

The Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted, has fall/winter slots available for the 50 seat Gallery Theatre, prime time 3 – 6 week rentals. Ghostlight Ensemble seeking short scripts

Ghostlight Ensemble is seeking short scripts (a maximum of 15 minutes) with strong female characters that are geared toward young audiences (under 12). Priority will be placed on scripts that are ethnically and culturally diverse, that do not require complicated sets or costumes and that fit our mission. This is open to playwrights in any geographic area. NO FEE. Selected plays will be produced as part of a festival of theatre for children under our Nightlight banner in early February.
