The DirectorsLabChicago (DLC) Steering Committee and Artistic Director Wm. Bullion are pleased to announce their 2019 DirectorsLab to be held Sunday–Saturday, August 18–24, 2019, at Victory Gardens Theater as well as in other prominent Chicago theater venues throughout the week-long collaborative symposium for stage directors. City Lit seeking submissions for Art of Adaptation Festival

City Lit Theater will present THE ART OF ADAPTATION on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 31, June 1 and June 2, and is currently soliciting for pieces for the festival. Submitting playwrights may be located anywhere, but a connection to Chicago is strongly encouraged. City Lit staff will select six to eight adaptations, each of which will be awarded $200.00. Theatre Development Fund (TDF) is now accepting applications for their National Open Caption Initiative.

The program offers a two-year partnership with professional regional theatres to sponsor open captioned performances and increase attendance by people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
