The League of Chicago Theatres, in conjunction with The Chicago Latino Theater Alliance, and the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, are hosting an International Artist Support Panel on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 2:30-4:30PM at Instituto Cervantes (31 W Ohio St.).
Join us as we gather with leaders from across the arts industry to discuss best practices on how to support international artists and international work, followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions to our panelists. Topics will include: Identifying Chicago networks of international artists, how cultural backgrounds or personal experiences influence artwork, and how to address issues of cultural sensitivity, appropriation, and respect in creative spaces.
This panel will be moderated by Marissa Lynn Jones, Executive Director of the League of Chicago Theatres and feature the following panelists:
