Join Theatre EVOLVE after the July 12 performance of Native Gardens at 3pm for an evening of connection, community, and celebration. This free event brings together Latino artists, theatres, casting professionals, and arts leaders for a post-show talkback, networking mixer, snacks, and lotería. Whether you’re looking to expand your network, meet collaborators, or learn more about Chicago’s Latino theatre community, we’d love to have you join!

The post-show mixer is free to attend and you can RSVP through this link. We encourage guests to purchase a ticket to Native Gardens and attend the 3pm performance before the event for the full experience. Pay-What-You-Can tickets can be purchased through this link.

ABOUT NATIVE GARDENS:
Where the lawns are trimmed, the smiles are tight, and the passive aggression blooms year-round. Theatre EVOLVE presents Native Gardens — a razor-sharp comedy about fences, flowers, and the kind of neighborhood politics that start with “just a quick conversation.”

Pablo and Tania are young, ambitious, and ready to put down roots. Frank and Virginia have spent years cultivating the perfect garden — and the perfect image. But when a property line gets questioned ahead of an important backyard party, civility goes straight into the compost bin. What starts as a tiny landscaping disagreement quickly explodes into a hilarious all-out war over class, race, privilege, taste, and who really gets to belong in “the neighborhood.” Think HOA drama meets culture war chaos. With hydrangeas.

Come laugh at your neighbors.
Or realize you are the neighbors.
