How could the census impact arts and culture?

Who counts?

The 2020 census will have meaningful implications for all Illinoisans, from the level of federal funding available to social service programs to the number of people representing you in Washington. A complete and accurate census is vital – an undercount of just one percent in Illinois could see the state could lose $1.2B over the next decade.

COME TO YOUR CENSUS brings creatives together for a workshop, panel discussion, and performances to explore the following questions:

• Why is the census important?
• What is the impact of the census on arts and culture?
• How can the arts ensure underserved communities count in 2020?
