#ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence

#ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence (www.enoughplays.com) is new year-long initiative launched by Chicago director Michael Cotey for middle and high school students to use playwriting to spark conversations about gun violence in their community. Students in 6-12 write and submit short 10-minute plays about gun violence now until April 20, 2020. Those plays will be read by a team of theatre artists and a selection of plays will be chosen and read in locations across the country in an evening of simultaneous readings on December 14, 2020 – the 8th anniversary of Sandy Hook. Theatres are being called upon to be ambassadors for the #ENOUGH mission by helping drive and solicit submissions, as well as produce readings all across the country.
