The League is now accepting nominations to fill upcoming vacancies on our Board of Directors. Theatre representatives must be from theatres that are full voting members of the League (all voting membership categories will be considered). All board membership nominations should be sent to Joanne Cascone at email@example.com by 5:00pm on Friday, September 30, 2022.
Board Membership Responsibilities
The role of the League is to promote, support and advocate for Chicago theater. As a board member, you are part of a dynamic team that will help guide the programs and priorities of the League. The board meets six times per year. Board members are expected to make meaningful and appropriate personal contributions to the board and its programs and are also expected to demonstrate leadership in encouraging member participation in League programs year-round.
If you would like to nominate someone or be considered yourself for League board membership, please submit a letter of intent that describes your interest and qualifications, a current resume, and a 2-3 paragraph bio. Email your nominations to Joanne Cascone at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5:00pm on Friday, September 30, 2022 with “Board Nomination” included in the title of the email, or mail your nomination materials to our administrative offices: League of Chicago Theatres, Attn: Nominating Committee, 17 N. Wabash, Suite 520, Chicago, IL 60602. If sending application by mail, we must receive the submission by 5:00pm on Friday, September 30, 2022.
What Will Happen Next?
Our board nominating committee will consider all nominations for board vacancies and present a slate of candidates to the full membership for review. The membership will be invited to vote on the slate in advance of the Annual Meeting of Membership, date/location TBA.
