Sea-Wife

First Flight Theatre is seeking actors, 6 young men and 3 young women, for a benefit performance of Maxwell Anderson's 1924 play Sea-Wife . This play was never published and it has never been professionally performed. Set in the 1800s on an island off the coast of Maine, the play is about a fishing community and the myth of mermen many of them believe in. This unusual play Sea-Wife will be presented as a benefit for Chicago's Season of Concern, an organization that helps Chicago theatre professionals in times of need. The benefit performance date is Sunday December 16th at 6 p.m. at the iO Theater, 1501 N Kingsbury St, in Chicago. There will be one rehearsal on Sunday afternoon December 9th, at a location still to be determined. There is no pay for participating in this one time only benefit. AEA & Non AEA actors may take part. If interested email project coordinator Frank Farrell at franktfarrell@yahoo.com and include a picture and resume and a link to a video that displays your acting.
